Matthew Witten, a highly skilled professional, has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and compliance. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Goodwill Northern New England, they have demonstrated their expertise on various levels. As the Chief Information Security Officer at Martin’s Point Health Care, they played a vital role in ensuring the security of information. Matthew also served as the Information Security Officer and Director of Information Security, where they managed the security responsibilities. Prior to this, at Homecare Homebase, Matthew held the position of Senior Manager, Security and Compliance, overseeing the information security function. As the Chief Information Security Officer and Privacy Officer at Louisville Metro Government, they led significant initiatives and implemented various security and compliance programs. Matthew also worked as the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Louisville, where they focused on risk assessment and incident response programs. At AEGON, they served as an Information Security/BCP/Risk Analyst, responsible for handling multiple projects. Matthew began their career at Fortress Network Security, working as a Lead Security Engineer. Matthew also gained experience as an Information Security Analyst at Financial Service Solutions and as a Technical Services Coordinator at the American Printing House for the Blind. With their extensive technical knowledge and strong leadership skills, Matthew Witten has proven himself as a valuable asset in the field of information security and compliance.

Matthew Witten completed their education at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2005 to 2007, earning an MBA in Applied Management. Prior to that, they attended Bellarmine University from 1996 to 2000, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Business Administration.

Additionally, Matthew Witten has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2008, they achieved the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². In 2010, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA, as well as the Certified in Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC) certification from ISACA. In 2013, they obtained the AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) certification from AccessData.

In more recent years, Matthew Witten has pursued additional certifications. In 2020, they earned the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification from ISACA. In 2022, they obtained the GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) certification from GIAC Certifications, as well as the GIAC Law of Data Security & Investigations (GLEG) certification.

Most recently, in 2023, Matthew Witten completed the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight (NACD Cyber-Risk Oversight Program) from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
