Marco C.

Marco C. has extensive work experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and wind power plants. Marco has held various roles in different companies, starting in 2005. Their most recent role is with QatarEnergy, where they serve as the O&M Director/Asset and Plant Manager for the Al Kharsaah Solar IPP project. Prior to that, they worked as the Project and Construction Director for the same project. Before joining QatarEnergy, they held positions at Marubeni Corporation, ILF Consulting Engineers in Germany, and IFC - International Finance Corporation, where they held leadership positions in project construction, operations, and management. Marco also has experience in membership with the Project Management Institute. Marco began their career as an Assistant at Universiteit Utrecht and also worked in thermonuclear fusion project management for the European Atomic Energy Community. Prior to that, they worked in various positions at Engineering Office Ing.Marco Cinalli - ENVSolutions S.r.l. and CSUN - CHINA SUNERGY. Throughout their career, Marco C. has demonstrated their expertise in project management, operations, and construction for renewable energy projects.

Marco C. completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2005. Marco then pursued a PhD in Thermonuclear Fusion as a student at Utrecht University from 2005 to 2007. Following this, Marco worked as an Independent Researcher specializing in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from 2007 to 2022. During this time, they obtained the title of Chartered Professional Engineer from Università Politecnica delle Marche.
