Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones has had an extensive career in the healthcare industry. Stephen started their journey in 1992 as Vice President of Operations at Healthtech Rehabilitation, where they oversaw rehabilitation services across five states. In 1993, they launched their own healthcare company, MedWay Health, which provided occupational medical and rehabilitation services to employers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Over the next thirteen years, MedWay Health grew to become one of the most comprehensive occupational medical and rehabilitation centers in the country.

In 2006, Jones ventured into the retail healthcare sector and became the President/COO of MedBasics Retail Health Clinics. Stephen successfully launched in-store clinics that offered flat-fee care for routine and non-urgent medical services.

In 2009, Jones joined the Carolinas Healthcare System as Vice President of the Carolinas HealthCare System Medical Group. Stephen held responsibilities for multi-specialty practices, including Primary Care, Urgent Care, On-Site Employer Clinics, Retail Clinic affiliations, and Telemedicine. During their tenure, the system grew to become the second largest non-profit hospital system in the country.

Most recently, Jones has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Bon Secours Health System's Medical Group in Hampton Roads, VA. Stephen has been responsible for overseeing 37 multi-specialty ambulatory practices, 250 providers, and 525 employees supporting four hospitals within the Hampton Roads area. Bon Secours Mercy Health System is the fifth largest Catholic healthcare ministry and one of the nation's top 20 largest healthcare systems.

Throughout their career, Jones has consistently demonstrated leadership, strategic acumen, and the ability to drive growth and operational excellence within healthcare organizations.

Stephen Jones completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Stephen then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Healthcare at The University of Dallas Graduate School of Management. Additionally, they obtained a LEAN Management Certification from the Carolinas HealthCare System.
