Karen Duffy

Karen Duffy's work experience includes their current role as Chief Development Officer at the Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF), which they started in 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Program Officer at MCF from 2020 to 2023.

Before joining MCF, Karen worked at EveryMind from 2014 to 2020, where they served as the Chief Development Officer from 2018 to 2020. Karen also held the role of Division Director, Youth and Family Services from 2015 to 2018 and was a Program Director from 2014 to 2015.

Earlier in their career, Karen worked at Cornerstone Montgomery from 2001 to 2014 as a Program Manager for Quality Assurance. Karen was responsible for managing the centralized Intake Department and conducting internal audits to ensure quality care and services. Karen also provided training to new staff members.

Before joining Cornerstone Montgomery, Karen worked at Threshold Services, Inc. from 1999 to 2001 as a Program Director. In this role, they managed residential and day programs, supervised staff, and provided rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Karen also served as a member of the executive management team and managed the program's budget and revenue.

Karen's work experience began in 1995 as a Residential Supervisor at Montgomery House.

Karen Duffy attended Allegheny College from 1987 to 1991, where they received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following that, from 1993 to 1995, Karen pursued their Master's degree in Human Development at the University of Maryland.
