Christopher G. Marasco

Christopher Marasco was appointed to the Howard Community College (HCC) board of trustees in 2017 for a six-year term ending in 2023. He currently serves as chairperson of the board of trustees, as well as chairs the board’s audit and finance committee. Mr. Marasco previously served as vice chairperson of the board of trustees and chaired the board’s legislative and community relations committee from July 2019 to June 2021.

Mr. Marasco is a senior vice president with Sandy Spring Bank, formerly Revere Bank. Before joining Revere Bank, he held the position of senior vice president, relationship manager from 2004 to 2018 for Howard Bank.

A distinguished alumnus of HCC, Mr. Marasco received the 2015 HCC Trustees’ Award for significant service to the college. He served on the Board of Directors of the HCC Educational Foundation, Inc. holding both vice chair and chair positions on the foundation board during his 11-year term. Mr. Marasco also has served as the board of trustee’s liaison to the HCC Educational Foundation, Inc.

Mr. Marasco has held many community leadership positions. He is a former board member for the Center for Adoption Support and Education (CASE), and previously served on the boards of the American Heart Association, The Baltimore Washington Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation of Howard County, the Maryland Science Center, The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, and Voices for Children.

Mr. Marasco earned an associate degree in business administration from HCC and later graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Baltimore with a degree in finance.
