Maryland Institute College of Art
Stephanie Williams is an accomplished educator and artist with extensive experience in higher education and community engagement. Currently serving as Full Time Faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art since June 2018, Williams previously held positions including Levitt Artist in Residence at Williams College and Assistant and Visiting Assistant Professor at James Madison University. Additionally, Williams contributed to the arts community as a member of the Sparkplug Art Collective and as a Committee Member for the Public Art Committee in the City of Alexandria, focusing on public art accessibility. Early in the career, Williams worked as an instructor for various age groups in art studios and participated in service projects through City Year. Williams earned an MFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design.
