Korey Arsenault currently holds the position of Planner II at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission since July 2023, following a prior role as Planner I. Education includes a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, both from the University of Florida. Experience as a Graduate Research Assistant involved designing a website for a GIS and Automation course and developing a custom training website for planners in Ghana. Additional roles include serving as Social Chair for the UF Student Planning Association, coordinating events and engagement with faculty. As a Savannah Area GIS Intern, contributions included recommending zoning changes and maintaining an extensive ArcGIS database. Previous leadership experience includes the role of Vice President of Creative Development at The Mount Retreat, overseeing creative processes for social media and merchandise.

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is a bi-county agency empowered by the State of Maryland in 1927 to acquire, develop, maintain and administer a regional system of parks within Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, and to provide land use planning for the physical development of these counties. The agency gained responsibility for public recreation program in Prince George's County in 1970.
