Dave Scrivener has a diverse work experience starting in 1986. Dave began their career as a Unit Armorer in the US Army Reserve from August 1986 to January 1990. Following that, they worked as a Chief Creative Officer at Auto Exposure LLC, where they provided video production, photography, and writing services to various clients. Additionally, they served as the producer for WGN's live broadcasts from the Chicago Auto Show since 1996, winning an Emmy award in 1998. Finally, they joined Maryland Public Television - MotorWeek in 1988 as the Head Writer & Senior Executive Producer for Special Projects, overseeing a team of 12 writers, producers, editors, and artists, and managing the overall look and content of the weekly series on PBS and cable outlets.
Dave Scrivener attended Christendom College from 1983 to 1985, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Following this, they enrolled at Towson University from 1986 to 1988, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.
