Vera Turner

Vera Turner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in fundraising, program management, and membership development within the public broadcasting and education sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Membership at Maryland Public Television, Vera has previously held significant roles including Project Manager at AASA, where initiatives such as the National Women's Leadership Consortium were developed to support women in educational leadership. Vera's entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of Vera Turner Enterprises LLC, producing impactful programming in the DC metro area. Through various leadership positions at organizations like PBS and WQED Multimedia, Vera has successfully implemented fundraising strategies, significantly increasing donor engagement and revenue. Vera holds a Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Virginia Tech.
