Andrew Steele has a diverse work experience. Andrew currently holds the position of Chief People and Transformation Officer at MAS - Medical Assurance Society since June 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Foundation North from October 2019 to September 2023 as an Advisor to the Board. From April 2018 to July 2023, they worked at RE-THINK HR as a Chief Talent Officer 'as a Service', where they contributed to HR strategies, change management, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Andrew also co-founded Reward by Design from September 2021 to June 2023 and served as a Consulting Partner at Frank & The Knowledge Hunters from July 2021 to June 2023. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte from December 2018 to June 2023, undertaking various HR projects. Andrew also owned and directed One Smart Star (NZ) Limited, a customer engagement platform from September 2017 to June 2023. Additionally, they held roles at Business Leaders' Health and Safety Forum, Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited, and Generator Talent, where they held positions such as Advocacy Manager, Chief People Officer (Interim), and Partner, respectively.
Andrew Steele attended the University of Otago, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Management. Andrew also briefly studied Leading Change at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2015.
