Colin Vipurs

Colin Vipurs has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Colin currently holds the position of Distinguished Engineer at Masabi, where they have been since July 2022. Prior to this, Colin worked as a Principal Engineer and Team Lead at Masabi from March 2020 to March 2022. Colin started their career at Masabi as a Contract Developer from July 2016 to October 2016.

Before joining Masabi, Colin worked at Shazam Entertainment as a Senior Technology Evangelist from June 2013 to April 2016. In this role, they focused on maintaining code standards and quality across development teams and oversaw backend architecture. Colin also held the position of Server Team Lead at Shazam Entertainment from March 2010 to June 2013.

Colin's previous experience includes working as a Java Contractor at RBS WorldPay, Inc. from November 2007 to November 2009. Colin also worked as a Senior Applications Developer at SciSys UK Limited in 2007 and as a Software Developer at Xype from March 2006 to December 2006.

Colin's earliest work experience was at The Press Association, where they worked as a Senior Software Developer from September 1998 to February 2006.

Colin Vipurs attended the University of Liverpool from 2002 to 2005 and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science.
