Shuaib Fareed

Shuaib Fareed is the current Head of Strategy and Projects at Masana Petroleum Solutions. Shuaib has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked for BP Southern Africa, BP Singapore, and BPSA.

Fareed started their career with BP in 2001 as the Lubricants Business Support Manager. In this role, they managed the portfolio of export customers in Indian Ocean Islands, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland. Shuaib then took on the role of Internal Control & Operational Risk Lead for the Supply team from 2007 to 2010.

In 2013, Fareed moved to BP Singapore to take on the role of Operations Executive. In this role, they were responsible for managing the operations from load to discharge for Eastern and Southern Africa. Shuaib then took on the role of Transit Manager for BP Southern Africa from 2015 to 2016, before moving to their current role at Masana Petroleum Solutions.

Shuaib Fareed has a BA in Psychology from the University of Port Elizabeth and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Belgravia High School.

They work with Lucy Diole - Financial Director, Luzayne Brophy - Logistics & Supply Manager, and Bongani Ndlovu - Assets & Operations Manager. Shuaib Fareed reports to Morena Sithole, Managing Director.
