Tomáš Pitner

Professor at Masaryk University

Tomáš Pitner has been a prominent figure at Masaryk University since 1990, currently serving as the Head of the Lasaris lab and a member of the CERIT strategic board. With titles including Vice-dean Responsible for Development, Public Relations, and Lifelong learning, and Vice-dean for Lifelong Learning, Tomáš leads the Group of Industrial Partners at the Faculty of Informatics. Additionally, Tomáš is an Associate Professor with expertise in enterprise computing, monitoring systems, and PhD supervision. Previous roles include External Lecturer at the University of Vienna, Vice-dean for Lifelong Learning at Masaryk University, President of the Central European Olympiad in Informatics, and Java EE Lecturer at NICOM, a.s. Tomáš holds a PhD in Computer Science from Masaryk University and has contributed to the field as a freelance author and assistant professor at Mendel University in Brno.
