Shadi Aboubakr

Shadi Aboubakr is a seasoned professional in the field of compliance with extensive experience in the financial sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of CIBG Compliance at Mashreq Bank since September 2015, Shadi has also held positions including Vice President for both Senior Manager Compliance & MLRO, and Manager Compliance & MLRO in different capacities within the bank. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President of Compliance at NBK Capital, and working as a Trading Controller at the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Shadi began a career in compliance as a Capital Market Specialist at the Capital Market Authority in Egypt. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Helwan University in Cairo and a General Secondary Certificate from Victoria College.
