Maria Kontaridis currently serves as Executive Director and Director of Research at Masonic Medical Research Institute since January 2018. Concurrently, Maria holds the position of Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where Maria's academic career began as an Instructor and progressed to Assistant Professor. Additionally, Maria has been a faculty member in the Department of Cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since April 2008. Previous roles include Director of Basic Cardiovascular Research, Assistant Professor at AYA, and Postdoctoral Fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Maria earned a PhD in Pharmacology from Yale University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Florida.
