Samantha Le Sommer is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and FACS Core Manager at the Masonic Medical Research Institute since January 2021. Prior to this role, Samantha Le Sommer held a Wellcome Trust ISSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow position and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Aberdeen, where research focused on dendritic cell-specific PTP1B deletion and its impacts on autoimmune and infection-related inflammation. Samantha Le Sommer completed a PhD in Medicine and Therapeutics with a specialization in Immunology at the University of Aberdeen, following a BSc Honours in Immunology at The University of Edinburgh. Additional experience includes roles in customer service and fundraising, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
