Rich Barlesi

Rich Barlesi is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Vice President Controller at Mass General Brigham Health Plan since September 2024, Rich previously held significant roles at Excellus BCBS, including Corporate VP Budget, FP&A, and Vice President Accounting and Financial Reporting from May 2017 to September 2024. Prior to Excellus BCBS, Rich amassed a wealth of experience at Blue Shield of California as Senior Director, Assistant Controller from April 2005 to April 2017, and also served as Accounting Manager at Active Optical Networks, Inc. and Argonaut Group. Rich earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting from Santa Clara University between 1989 and 2003.
