Sara Walsh Mulligan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital strategy, project management, and system implementation. Currently serving as the Director of System Implementation for Fare Transformation at MBTA since October 2016, Sara is responsible for the rollout of an advanced automated fare collection system aimed at enhancing transit accessibility in Boston. Previously, Sara worked at the Office of Environment and Heritage (NSW) as a Project Manager, where responsibilities included defining the organization's digital presence and leading cross-functional teams in digital project delivery. Earlier roles include Senior Web Content Manager for Boston.gov and Digital Producer at UTS: University of Technology Sydney. Sara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Public Policy from Saint Anselm College and has a background in education, having taught ESOL and supported classroom activities.
