Marcel Vernon

Marcel Vernon, Sr. currently serves as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, a position held since October 2024. Previously, Marcel was the CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance at Bay Cove Human Services, overseeing a $184 million budget and operations serving over 25,000 individuals per year. Prior experience includes serving as CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration at the University of New Hampshire, managing a $676 million budget and a team responsible for comprehensive financial functions. Marcel also held the position of CFO for the Massachusetts Trial Courts and Department of Revenue, managing sizeable budgets aimed at improving financial transparency and efficiency in public services. Additional roles include Executive Managing Director at MIP Global and CFO for Elite Prototype Athletics. Marcel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University, an MBA in Finance and International Business from Syracuse University, and an Executive Education Certificate in Corporate Finance from Northwestern University.
