Brian Wainger

Brian Wainger serves as a Physician Scientist in Neurology and Interventional Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital since July 2006. The research focuses on motor and sensory neuron diseases, utilizing both biased and unbiased approaches to discover novel therapeutic targets and candidates, alongside conducting clinical trials, including a phase 2 study based on findings from basic science research. Previously, Brian held positions as an Interventional Pain Fellow and Neurology Resident at Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's Hospitals. Additional experience includes serving as a Medical Intern at Columbia University in the City of New York. Brian Wainger's educational background includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical and Translational Investigation from Harvard Medical School, an MD/PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an AB in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
