Gregory Smith has a robust background in emergency services and rescue operations, currently serving as a Ground Operator at HeliService USA since September 2023. With extensive experience, Gregory has held the position of Captain/Paramedic at the Plainville Fire Department since September 2002, focusing on fire suppression, emergency medical services, and rescue efforts to safeguard the community. Additionally, Gregory serves as Deputy Director for the Norfolk County Technical Rescue Team and as a Rescue Specialist for the Massachusetts Urban Search and Rescue Team (FEMA), contributing expertise in various rescue operations. Massachusetts Task Force 1 (MA-TF 1) is one of 28 DHS/FEMA sponsored Urban Search and Rescue Teams. Sponsored by the City of Beverly, MA the team is comprised of volunteers from all 6 of the New England States. We have deployed to numerous natural and man-made disasters.
