Rick Weisblatt

Rick Weisblatt is currently an advisor at MassChallenge, but they have a long and impressive history in the healthcare industry. Rick first started working in healthcare as the Vice-President of Operations at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in 1997. In 2001, they became the Vice-President for Network Services at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Rick was responsible for developing the strategic agenda for network services and improving relationships with providers. Rick was also able to negotiate provider risk and unit price increases that averaged 3% or less. In 2010, they were promoted to Senior Vice-President for Provider Network and Product Development at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. In this role, they launched limited and tiered network products, evaluated the financial and quality of all network providers, and influenced policy makers and regulators on payment reform and related legislation and rules. Rick also designed and rolled out a more efficient and cost effective product development and implementation process.

Rick Weisblatt received their Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland and their B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
