Shannon Norton Calles began their career in 1995 as an Accounting Manager at Casa Myrna Vazquez. In 2001, they moved to Northeastern University as an Accounting Manager, where they reported to the Director of a NASA funded commercial space center and was responsible for all fiscal and administrative duties. In 2003, they joined Career Center of Lowell as an Executive Director, and later as an Assistant Director. In this role, they established major financial goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and corrective action. Shannon also provided written monthly updates to the Director on the agency's overall financial status, developed and implemented cost allocation policies and procedures, prepared and/or directed the preparation of reports, supervised the preparation of payroll and payable activities, reviewed proposals and/or bid submissions, participated in contract negotiations, performed on site monitoring visits, represented the agency at meetings and conferences, participated/presented at quarterly WIB meetings, and advised the Executive Director about insurance coverage.
Shannon Norton Calles earned their Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University in 2004, with a field of study in Business Administration and Management, General. Shannon also holds a BS from Bentley University in Accountancy.
