Anita Fernandes

Anita Fernandes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Anita started their career at Deloitte as an Audit Manager from 2006 to 2007. Anita then moved on to work at International Refreshments Company LTD. (PEPSICO) as an Assistant Financial Controller at Simba (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, from 2008 to 2011. Following that, Anita joined Builders, where they served as a Shared Services Manager from 2011 to 2014 and as Finance Executive - Finance Control from 2015 to 2016. Currently, Anita is with Massmart, holding the role of VP Group Financial Controller since December 2016 and recently transitioning to the role of VP Internal Audit in August 2023.

Anita Fernandes obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) (Honours) degree in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg in 1999-2002. In 2005, they also earned the title of Chartered Accountant from SAICA.
