Roberto Sepulveda

Roberto Sepulveda has over 20 years of experience in the information security and software development fields. In 1997, they began their career as an Analista-Programador at Banco Santander Chile, where they worked on the development and maintenance of various systems and conversion and testing of systems for the year 2000. In 1999, they moved to BBVA as an Analista-Programador and worked on the analysis, design, and implementation of the "Sistema de Control Telefónico" project. In 2000, they returned to Banco Santander Chile as an Analista-Programador and worked on the development and maintenance of systems for foreign trade. In 2001, they joined North Hills Signal Processing Corp. as a Software Engineer and worked on the maintenance and support of Telefónica Chile's Carrpla repair system. Finally, in 2004, they became the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at MasterBase® where they defined and updated corporate policies, standards, and procedures; advised, assisted, and supervised the analysis, treatment, and monitoring of risks associated with the business areas; and coordinated, educated, communicated, mobilized, and convinced the various agents responsible for security management.

Roberto Sepulveda has an extensive education history. In 2006, they obtained a SQLServer certification from Microsoft. From 1989 to 1994, they completed an Information Systems Engineer degree from Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana in the field of Information Technology. In 2009, they completed an Intermediate & Advanced Prof. English certification from SmartEnglish. In 2014, they obtained an Evaluación de Decisiones Estratégicas certification from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. From 2006 to 2012, they completed an Industrial Civil Engineer degree from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria in the field of Industrial Engineering. In 2016, they obtained an Acunetix User Test certification from Acunetix by Invicti. In 2019, they obtained NSE 1 and NSE 2 Network Security Associate certifications from Fortinet. In 2022, they obtained certifications from Capacitación Usach, Microsoft, and MongoDB University.
