Winfred Waweru

Winfred Waweru is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Finance Director for Country Programs at the Mastercard Foundation since August 2022, Winfred provides financial guidance to support the foundation's strategic objectives. Previous positions include Director of Program Finance Operations at Mastercard, where responsibilities encompassed financial governance for 30 African countries, and Commercial Controller for Africa at GE Healthcare, steering financial operations across over 50 countries. Winfred’s career began at PwC as a Senior Associate, following which roles in finance leadership involved strategic planning and financial analysis in various sectors, including real estate and healthcare. Winfred holds an MBA from the United States International University - Africa and a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.
