JoAnn Stonier is the Chief Data Officer at Mastercard. Prior to their current role, JoAnn was the Chief Privacy Officer at American Express from 1998 to 2006. In this role, they were responsible for recreating the privacy program for all divisions of American Express Worldwide. This included establishing a governance process, policies and procedures, and education program. JoAnn has also held adjunct professor positions at Saint Francis College and Pratt Institute.

JoAnn Stonier received their Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and their B.S. in Accounting from Saint Francis College.
