Vishal Anand

Vishal Anand is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Vice President of Data Platforms and Engineering at Mastercard since May 2013. In this role, Vishal manages geographically distributed data engineering teams focusing on extensive data processing platforms that handle billions of real-time events daily, facilitating data analytics and AI/ML capabilities. Previous positions at Mastercard included Senior Principal, Director/Principal, and Leader, Software Engineer, where Vishal contributed to the architecture and development of real-time processing pipelines, enterprise monitoring systems, and explored blockchain technology for payment solutions. Additional experience includes roles at BT, FICO, XProtean, Exeter Group, and BEA Systems, with a notable foundation in building billing systems, fraud detection, and automation frameworks. Vishal holds an academic background from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
