Hailey Zipfel has a diverse work experience with roles in curriculum development, test writing, editing and teaching. In 2023, they worked as a Curriculum Developer at MasteryPrep. Prior to that, in 2022, they were a Liberal Arts Practice Test Writer at Study.com and also worked as a Writer and Editor at SuperSummary. In the same year, they served as the English Department Chair and an English Literature and Language Teacher at KIPP Colorado Public Schools. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as an English Literature Teacher at Episcopal High School. Hailey's teaching career began in 2017 at YES Prep Public Schools, where they taught English Literature, Language, and Art. Hailey also worked as a Corps Member at Teach For America during this time. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Life Skills Coach at The First Tee of Aiken in 2017, a Substitute Teacher at Aiken County Public Schools from 2016 to 2017, and a Writing Mentor at Deep Center from 2014 to 2015.
Hailey Zipfel completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Creative Writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2011 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Comparative Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London from 2015 to 2016.
