William Lambert

William Lambert currently serves as Executive Vice President, Deputy CFO, and Chief of Strategy at Matador Resources Company since May 2025. Prior to this role, William held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Devon Energy from March 2021 to May 2025. William's extensive experience in finance and investment banking includes serving as Managing Director and Vice President at Goldman Sachs from June 2013 to January 2021, as well as Vice President and Associate in Oil and Gas Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank from July 2008 to May 2013. William began a career in engineering as a Senior Field Engineer at Schlumberger, specializing as a wireline engineer in Southeast Asia from August 2003 to October 2006. William earned an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management in 2008 and a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2003.
