Ozan Yalniz is the founder and CEO of Materially, a procurement and supply chain solution for construction aggregates. Prior to starting Materially in 2021, Ozan held various senior roles as a director at WeWork from 2018 to 2020. In these roles, they led cross-functional teams to improve customer experience, executed initiatives for COVID-19 relief efforts, and led strategic projects in supply chain optimization, competitive positioning, and product profitability. Ozan also worked as a senior manager at Bain & Company from 2014 to 2018 and as a senior engineer/project manager at Arup from 2003 to 2012.
Ozan Yalniz obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment from the University of Cambridge, although the specific years of study for this degree are unknown. In addition to their academic qualifications, Ozan Yalniz also holds certifications as a Sainsbury Management Fellow from the Royal Academy of Engineering, which they obtained in June 2012, and as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), which they acquired in December 2010.
