Program Coordinator at Maternity Care Coalition

Breastfeeding Latinas is an experienced program coordinator at Maternity Care Coalition since October 2019, focusing on community-specific program development and addressing health issues related to pregnant women and young families. Concurrently, Breastfeeding Latinas serves as a research assistant at Christiana Care Health System, contributing to a study aimed at increasing breastfeeding duration among low-income Puerto Rican mothers. As a lactation consultant for various organizations, including Breastfeeding Latinas and Maven Clinic, Breastfeeding Latinas provides culturally sensitive lactation support and education. The educational background includes a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from National University College-Bayamon, alongside certifications as a lactation consultant.

Since 1980, Maternity Care Coalition has assisted more than 145,000 families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns.
