Courtney Powers

Director, Strategy at Mathematica

Courtney Powers has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Courtney started their career at Pomona College as an Alumni Admissions Volunteer Intern. Courtney then interned at the United States Senate before joining the Center for People in Need as a Health Hub Intern. Courtney later interned at the Children's Defense Fund as a Health Intern.

In 2012, Courtney became the Judiciary Council Head Chair at Pomona College. Courtney continued their education and worked as an MBA Student Consultant at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. in 2019.

Courtney joined Mathematica in 2013 as a Program Associate and progressively moved up to roles including Business Development Associate, Strategy and Business Development Specialist, Strategy Manager, Senior Strategy Manager, and now serves as an Associate Director in Strategy. In Mathematica, Courtney has gained substantial experience in strategy, data analysis, market research, competitive assessment and intelligence, business development, project management, and communications. Courtney is experienced in researching legislation, programs, and trends affecting federal agencies and providing analyses to inform corporate strategic planning.

Courtney Powers earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Analysis/Science, Technology, and Society from Pomona College between 2009 and 2013.
