Martin Swartz has a diverse work experience in finance, project management, and cost control. Martin worked at Mathematica from 2017 to the present, starting as a Project Finance Analyst and later progressing to Manager and then Director of Finance. In these roles, they oversaw financial analysis, led teams, implemented technical solutions, and collaborated with executive leadership on strategic process improvement initiatives. Prior to Mathematica, Martin worked at Owens Corning as a Project Controls Engineer, where they managed cost control and schedule functions for major construction projects. Martin also gained experience as a Student Intern at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Martin Swartz earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2014. Martin then obtained certifications as a Certified Cost Technician from AACE International and as a Fundamental Engineer (EIT) from NCEES in the same year. In 2020, Martin pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Martin also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2020.
