Rachit Prasad

Rachit Prasad is an accomplished Senior Software Engineer in Test specializing in Autonomous Systems at MathWorks since March 2022. Prior to this role, Rachit served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Virginia Tech from August 2014 to March 2022, leading the development of an end-to-end framework for autonomous navigation of small Unmanned Aerial Systems under an NSF-funded project. Rachit also completed a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Virginia Tech, where a computational design framework for flutter-related aerodynamic shape optimization and an adjoint-based sensitivity analysis tool for high-fidelity coupled CFD/FEA systems were developed. Rachit's academic journey includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
