Head Advising Fellow at Matriculate

Tara Sangal's work experience includes being a Head Advising Fellow at Matriculate, where they led initiatives to provide personalized guidance to underserved students. Tara also worked as an Epidemiology Research Intern at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, conducting research on the school-to-prison pipeline. Tara has also worked as an Immunology Researcher at the New York Blood Center, studying sickle cell disease. Tara volunteered as a Student Volunteer at Hunterdon Medical Center and worked as an Education Analyst at The Weaving Lab, where they collaborated on creating a new educational model. Additionally, Tara worked as a Research Assistant at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology, conducting research on Duckweed Landoltia to find solutions for algae growth.

Tara Sangal completed their high school education from North Hunterdon High School between 2017 and 2021, earning a High School Diploma. During their time there, they focused on the field of study related to High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Tara then pursued higher education at Barnard College from 2021 to 2025, majoring in Computational Biology and Medical Anthropology. Tara'sdegree program focused on the field of Public Health.
