Angel Georgiev, MSc

Angel Georgiev, MSc, has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and software development.

Angel is currently employed as a Data Engineer at Gett, where they are responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving data models. Angel also works with Python code related to ETLs, APIs, and creating DIs, and has experience working with AWS S3.

Prior to their current role, Angel worked as a Data Engineer at Matrix Eastern Europe, contributing their skills and expertise in data engineering.

Angel also has experience as a Teaching Assistant at Plovdiv University, where they assist in teaching Oracle PL/SQL, Java OOP, and Software processes at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

In their previous role at Musala Soft, Angel worked as a Data & Analytics Engineer, specializing in database development for Experian's Bureau Modernization Denmark project. Angel was involved in creating packages, functions, and procedures, as well as database design and modeling.

Earlier in their career, Angel worked as a Software Developer at Synergy Global Financial Solutions Ltd. Angel was responsible for active development and support of various modules of internet banking, front office and back office systems. Angel also provided technical and functional support for Oracle Flexcube and third-party systems.

Angel Georgiev, MSc has a comprehensive education history in the field of informatics. Angel began their academic journey at the National School of Commerce in Plovdiv, where they completed their secondary education from 2010 to 2015.

Angel then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Software Technology and Design at the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski" from 2015 to 2019. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Angel obtained a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski between 2019 and 2021.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Angel is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Informatics at the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski." This program spans from 2022 to 2025 and represents their dedication to advancing their expertise in their chosen field.

In addition to their formal education, Angel Georgiev has also obtained a certification as an Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate from Oracle in February 2021. This certification further showcases their commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise within their field.
