Teresa Smith

Teresa Smith has over 30 years of work experience in various roles. Teresa started their career in 1990 as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in the United States Air Force, where they served until 2000. After that, they transitioned to the role of Transportation Officer until 2000. In 2012, they joined Barnes-Jewish Hospital as an Emergency Department RN and worked there until 2016. Following that, they worked as an Emergency Department Charge Nurse at Memorial Hospital East from 2016 to 2017. Since 2018, Teresa has been working at Matrix Medical Network, initially as a Family Nurse Practitioner and currently as a Nurse Practitioner Team Lead.

Teresa Smith obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health from Wright State University in the years 1985 to 1990. Teresa then pursued a Master's Degree in Aerospace Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1993 to 1995. In 2011 to 2012, they attended the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Later, from 2014 to 2017, they attended Maryville University of Saint Louis and earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner. Teresa has additional certifications, including an Ohio Nursing License obtained in October 2021, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) obtained in February 2021, and Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained in February 2020. Additionally, they hold a Family Nurse Practitioner certification obtained in 2018. Teresa also possesses an Illinois Nursing License obtained in 2012 and a Missouri Nursing License obtained in the same year.
