Nitsan Alon

Major General (Res.) Nitsan Alon was appointed VP of Strategy and Chairman of Matrix Defense - the company’s Defense Division - in February 2020. Leading the company’s strategic planning process regarding markets and geographies, Nitsan is responsible for managing new lines of activity, adapting existing activity to market needs, and identifying opportunities for mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures with the defense establishment.

This appointment follows an illustrious 35-year career with the IDF, in which Nitsan served as commander of the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit (Sayeret Matkal), acted as Head of Central Command, acted as IDF Operations Directorate and reached the rank of Major General.

Nitsan holds a B.A in physics and B.Sc in material engineering from the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa.
