Alexi Schafer

Alexi Schafer has gained extensive work experience in the field of environmental science and restoration. Their most recent role is as an Environmental Scientist at Matrix Solutions Inc. since July 2021. Prior to this position, they worked as a Riparian Restoration & Research Assistant at the South East Alberta Watershed Alliance from May 2021 to July 2021. They also served as a Riparian Restoration Assistant at the same organization from May 2020 to August 2020.

Before joining the South East Alberta Watershed Alliance, Alexi worked as an Agricultural Technician - Weed Inspector at Cypress County from May 2019 to August 2019. They also gained research experience as a Research Assistant - Bee Health at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada from February 2019 to April 2019. Additionally, they worked as an Environmental Technician at Millennium Land Ltd. from May 2018 to August 2018.

Their earliest work experience includes serving as a Reclamation Technician at the Department of National Defence from May 2017 to August 2017. With a strong background in environmental science and restoration, Alexi Schafer has developed valuable skills and knowledge in their field of expertise.

Alexi Schafer's education history begins in 2017 when they enrolled in Lethbridge College to pursue a Diploma in Renewable Resource Management. This program lasted for two years, and they successfully completed it in 2019. Following this, Alexi continued their education at Lethbridge College and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Ecosystem Management, which spanned from 2019 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Alexi obtained the certification of "Biologist In Training" from the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists in November 2021. This certification demonstrates their professional qualifications and commitment to the field of biology.
