Lydia W. has diverse work experience in various industries. Lydia started their career in 2011 as a Front End Cashier at Safeway Canada. Lydia then worked as an Undergraduate Peer Tutor in Calculus I at Mount Royal University in 2011 and again in 2014. In 2013, they worked as a General Help at Low Carb Canada and as Text Counter Support at Mount Royal University. Lydia continued their education and in 2015, they became an ESL Teacher at Avalon English, where they effectively managed classes and developed a discipline program. Simultaneously, they worked as Text Counter Support at Mount Royal University. In 2018, they joined Travelers as part of the Policy Services Team, where they assisted with data entry, claims modification, and customer claim follow-up. Most recently, they joined Matrix Solutions Inc. in 2019 as a GIS Analyst. In this role, they create and maintains geospatial datasets, utilizes automation tools for efficient project recreation, and supports field data acquisition and visualization.

Lydia W. completed their Bachelor of Applied Technology degree in Geographic Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Mount Royal University from 2010 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Lydia holds several certifications. In June 2019, they obtained a Pilot Certificate - Basic Operations (Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), Visual line-of-sight (VLOS)) from Transport Canada. Lydia also has a 120 Hour TEFL Certificate from LoveTEFL, obtained in July 2015. Furthermore, Lydia has an IHS AccuMap Introduction Certificate which was obtained in March 2015 from Mount Royal University.
