Matthew Rutten has a diverse work experience, starting in 2004 as a Youth Team Leader at the City of Prince Albert. In 2006, they became a Forestry Contractor at Artisan Reforestation, where they worked until 2010. In that year, they had a short work co-op position as a Laboratory Technologist at AGAT Laboratories. Since 2011, Matthew Rutten has been an Environmental Scientist at Matrix Solutions, Inc.
Matthew Rutten obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology - Environmental Studies from Cape Breton University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Environmental Engineering Technology specializing in Water Resources at Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC, completing their studies from 2008 to 2010.
