Projects & Partnerships Coordinator, Connect Mat-Su at Mat-Su Health Foundation

Chelsea Hedrick is the Projects & Partnerships Coordinator for Connect Mat-Su at Mat-Su Health Foundation. Chelsea has a long history of working with various organizations devoted to conservation efforts, both in their home state of Alaska and elsewhere.

Chelsea's first job in the field was as a Fisheries Technician with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Chelsea worked with the department for three summers, from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, they also took on a position as a Biological Science Technician with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).

In 2017, Chelsea began working as a Project & Outreach Coordinator for the Madison River Foundation. Chelsea held this position until 2018, when they took on the role of Project Coordinator for Bozeman Green Build. Chelsea continued working in this capacity until 2020, when they joined Mat-Su Health Foundation.

Chelsea Hedrick's educational career includes earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fisheries Technology from the University of Alaska Southeast, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Chelsea is also certified as a Leave No Trace Trainer from the Leave No Trace Center For Outdoor Ethics and has completed Trail and Outdoor Chainsaw Safety Training- Level 1&2 from NORTHEAST WOODLAND TRAINING, INC. Additionally, they are certified in Adult & Child CPR and Wilderness First Responder from Aerie Backcountry Medicine.
