Ioannis Foukarakis

Ioannis Foukarakis is a Senior Data Engineer at Mattermost since October 2022, bringing extensive experience in software engineering and data systems. Previously, Ioannis served as a Principal Software Engineer at Searchmetrics, where key contributions included establishing data guidelines and designing a highly efficient Search Result Page parser. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Yilu, Development Lead for the Data Science team at Workable, and a Java & Machine Learning Engineer at Upwork, alongside a tenure as CTO at Infamous Labs, where development of a JavaScript SDK for Smart TV applications took place. Ioannis also engaged in academia as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Peloponnese and worked as a laboratory assistant at TEI of Piraeus. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master of Engineering in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
