Sean McLaughlin

Sean McLaughlin is a highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Cruise since January 2020 and has also been a Senior Software Engineer at Mattson Technology since October 2017. Notable achievements include successfully converting the company's main software from QNX to Linux, which involved comprehensive aspects such as OS setup and communication protocols. Previously, Sean served as a Senior Engineer in Distributed Control and Information Systems at Zachry Nuclear Engineering, where leadership involved managing a team for General Electric’s ESBWR design and architecting a quasi-relational database for instrumentation and controls equipment. Early in the career, Sean worked at Pratt & Whitney as a Software Engineer, developing cost estimation tools for jet turbine manufacturing. Sean holds multiple degrees in Computer Engineering and Physics from the University of Connecticut.
