Dr. Krisztina Wegner

Dr. Krisztina Wegner has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of environment, energy, and waste management. Dr. Krisztina has held various leadership and advisory roles in different organizations and projects. Dr. Krisztina'smost recent positions include being a Head of Office - Environment, energy and quality management at MÁV-csoport since 2015 and a Senior Expert and Project Leader at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency from 2020 to 2021. Dr. Krisztina has also worked as a Senior Expert at NORTHERN IRELAND CO-OPERATION OVERSEAS (NI-CO) LTD, where they provided consultations and advisory activities on waste management systems, particularly focusing on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems. Furthermore, they have gained experience as a Special Expert in the EU Twinning Project, strengthening administrative capacities for the implementation of Waste Legislation. Additionally, they have held management positions at the National Waste Management Agency of Hungary and other organizations, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to the field of waste management and environmental protection.

Dr. Krisztina Wegner pursued their education at Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem. From 2009 to 2011, they completed a degree in environmental law, specializing as an environmental lawyer.
