Carrie Exner Bergstresser has a diverse work experience in the field of women's health and nursing. Carrie started their career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at the University of Virginia Health System in 2011, where they gained experience in various aspects of maternal and newborn care. Carrie then transitioned to becoming a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at the Art and Science of OB/GYN clinic in 2014, where they provided obstetric and gynecologic care to patients. Carrie had responsibilities such as prenatal care, lab interpretation, ultrasounds, postpartum care, and counseling on contraception and menopausal management. In 2017, Carrie joined the Maven Clinic as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, continuing their focus on women's health. In 2018, they briefly worked at Capital Women's Care before joining Women's Wellness MD in the same year. Carrie has a strong background in women's health and nursing, with experience across different healthcare settings.

Carrie Exner Bergstresser attended Georgetown University from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Master's degree in Women's Health Nurse/Nursing. Prior to their time at Georgetown, they studied at the University of Virginia from 2007 to 2011 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. In addition to their educational background, Carrie also holds several certifications. Carrie obtained their BLS certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in July 2019. Carrie also holds a CNM certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board, and a WHNP certification from The National Certification Corporation, which they obtained in June 2014.
