Philip Sharp

Philip Sharp has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Philip started their journey as a Student Network/Systems Administrator at Bowdoin College in 2000 and worked there until 2003. In the same year, they joined Maine Public as an Intern for eight months. Following that, they joined CameraPlanet as an IT Administrator for ten months before transitioning to a Programmer role at Mass Transmit, where they worked for four years.

In 2008, Philip joined Clearspring Technologies as a Web Developer and stayed with the company for three years. Philip then moved on to NationalField LLC in 2011, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for eight months.

The next significant milestone in their career was joining Expensify in 2012 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked for almost two years. In 2014, they joined SmugMug as a Senior Software Engineer and went on to become the Backend Engineering Manager in 2016. Philip held the position until 2017 and continued as a Staff Software Engineer until 2022.

Currently, Philip works at Maven Clinic, where they started as a Senior Software Engineer in 2022. Philip has since been promoted to the role of Staff Software Engineer as of April 2023.

Philip Sharp earned their Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College, where they studied Computer Science and Film Studies. Philip attended the college from 1999 to 2003.
