Cassi Birnbaum

Cassi Birnbaum, MS, RHIA, CPHQ, FAHIMA, currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at Maverick Medical AI and on the Health Care Informatics Advisory Board at the University of San Diego. Additionally, Cassi is a Board Member for CAHIIM and has been an Adjunct Faculty Member at San Diego Mesa College since 1993. Previous roles include Administrative Director of Hospital and Professional Coding at Stanford Health Care, Senior Enterprise Director of HIM, Coding and CDI at PeaceHealth, and System-Wide Director of Health Information Management and Revenue Integrity at UC San Diego Health. Cassi was also the Past President/Board Chair of AHIMA, providing strategic direction for health information management practices. With a Master of Science in Information Technology specializing in Health Information Management and Informatics, and a strong background in health information management, coding, and consulting, Cassi has made significant contributions to the field.
