Peter Hass

Peter is an Associate Partner with Maverix Private Equity. He is focused on leading deal execution including financial modelling and leading due diligence. Peter also works closely with portfolio companies in strategic and financial management as well as the evaluation of add-on acquisitions opportunities.

Previously, Peter worked as a Director of Home Services within Mattamy Ventures at Mattamy Asset Management, where he was responsible for the creation and then leadership of three new lines of business. Prior to joining Mattamy, Peter worked at OMERS where he was a founding member of OMERS Growth Equity and was previously part of the OMERS Platform Investments team, the innovation arm of OMERS. At OMERS he completed investments in Purpose Financial, ArcTern Ventures, Managed by Q (exited to WeWork), Honest Buildings (exited to Procore), OneEleven and R-Labs. Peter started his career as a consultant with Monitor Deloitte, where he advised clients on corporate strategy and operations, with a focus on growth and innovation.

Peter is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business where he earned his Honors Business Administration degree. He’s an avid traveler, mostly recently completing the Annapurna circuit in Nepal, and on weekends you can find him at his family’s farm.
